TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing and using the services of JRDD CONSTRUCTION LIMITED (“we”, “us”, or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access our services.
2. Our Services
JRD Construction & Property Services provides professional construction, renovation, and construction services including but not limited to:
- House extensions and conversions
- New build construction
- Property renovations and refurbishments
- Landscaping and garden design
- General construction
- Urgent repair services
3. Quotations and Pricing
All quotations provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless specifically mentioned. We reserve the right to adjust pricing if:
- The scope of work changes from the original specification
- Unforeseen circumstances arise during the project
- Materials costs increase significantly between quotation and commencement
- Additional work is requested by the client
4. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be agreed upon before commencement of work. For larger projects, we typically require a deposit of 25% with staged payments throughout the project. Final payment is due upon completion of the work. We accept payment by bank transfer, cheque, or card payment.
5. Project Timeline
While we strive to complete all projects within the agreed timeframe, completion dates are estimates only. We shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather conditions, supply chain issues, or changes to project specifications.
6. Quality Guarantee
We guarantee our workmanship for a period of 12 months from completion date. This guarantee covers defects in workmanship but does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by third parties. Materials are covered by manufacturers' warranties where applicable.
7. Health and Safety
We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance and adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations. Clients must ensure safe access to work areas and inform us of any known hazards. During work, certain areas may be restricted for safety reasons.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Obtaining necessary planning permissions and building regulations approval
- Ensuring clear access to work areas
- Removing valuable items from work areas
- Making timely decisions when required
- Making payments according to agreed terms
9. Cancellation Policy
Projects may be cancelled with written notice. Cancellation charges may apply based on work completed and materials ordered. Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 7 days of scheduled start date.
10. Limitation of Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages.
11. Dispute Resolution
We aim to resolve any disputes amicably through direct discussion. If resolution cannot be achieved, disputes shall be subject to mediation before resorting to legal proceedings. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
